ROME CITY COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET THIS EVENING, FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSION WILL GATHER ON TUESDAY

The Rome City Commission will meet in regular session this evening.  Their gathering at 6:30 pm will be preceded by a caucus at 5 pm at City Hall (or the City Auditorium) on Broad Street.
Commissioner Wendy Davis encourages the public to attend both the meeting and the caucus.  If you are unable to make it in person, you may view the live stream of the meeting online at www.romefloyd.com.

City Commissioners are anticipated to take up the Sunday ‘Brunch Bill’ at the meeting.  The Alcohol Control Commission has recommended that the matter go before Rome voters on November 5th.  If it is approved, it would allow for

the sales of alcohol by the drink from 11 am until 12:30 pm.  This will mark a second reading for the ordinance amendment.  The Rome City Commission’s complete agenda is posted online.

The Floyd County Commission will meet again on Tuesday.  They will gather for a caucus at 4 pm, which will be followed by their regular meeting at 6 pm at the county’s Administration Building on East Fourth Avenue. Both of those sessions are open to the public.
