IT’S TIME FOR THE ROME CHRISTMAS PARADE!

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for the Rome Christmas Parade. The parade will traverse Broad Street in downtown Rome tonight at 6:30 pm.
This local holiday tradition has been going strong for six decades, according to co-chair Janet Byington. About 3,000 people participate and about 25,000 people watch the parade each year.
Byington muses that the creativity of the parade participants ‘never ceases to amaze’ her.
John Schroder (of Schroeder’s New Deli) will serve as the Grand Marshal of this year’s parade. Locals may visit www.romechristmasparade.com to view the 2019 parade line-up.
