BOSS: NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO DROP OUR GUARD AGAINST CORONAVIRUS

Logan Boss, Public Information Officer for the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Northwest Health District, reminds locals that now is not the time to drop our guard against the coronavirus. The state’s continued emergence from lockdown is necessary, but should be executed cautiously.

Most people that contract the virus exhibit mild to no symptoms, although it can be deadly for others. Therefore, Boss states that we have a responsibility to protect those most vulnerable, like the elderly and anyone with underlying health conditions.

Boss adds that most of those who fall critically ill with the coronavirus have multiple underlying health conditions.

Testing for COVID-19 is available to every Georgian. For more information, visit the Georgia Department of Public Health website.
