FIFTEEN TRAFFIC FATALITIES REPORTED OVER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND IN GEORGIA

The Georgia Department of Public Safety has reported that 15 people died on the state’s roadways over Memorial Day weekend. The 78-hour holiday travel period began this past Friday night at 6 pm and ended at midnight on Monday night. State troopers and local law enforcement investigated a combined total of 13 fatal traffic crashes.

There was only one social distancing violation, according to the DPS; it was issued in the Metro Atlanta area.
