OVER 45,000 INFECTED, NEARLY 2,000 HAVE DIED OF COVID-19 IN GEORGIA

More than 45,000 people have been infected with coronavirus while the death toll nears 2,000 in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 45,266 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the Peach State as of 7 pm on Thursday evening. There were 1,973 fatalities due to the coronavirus. In Floyd County, there were 258 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Fulton County reported the highest number of confirmed cases in the state with 4,367 and the highest number of fatalities at 224.
