TalkRadio WLAQ in Rome, GA has been locally owned and operated for over 60 years.  It’s long time and current owner, Randy Davis, has lived and breathed broadcasting in Northwest Georgia for over 40 years.  His long career has included covering sports, news, and proudly serving the community of Rome/Floyd County. 

Offering a wide variety of local and nationally syndicated programming, TalkRadio WLAQ has the very best lineup of talk shows available in the area.  The current national lineup includes The Rush Limbaugh Show, The Glenn Beck Program, The Dave Ramsey Show, and ESPN Radio.

Weekday mornings are spent with Elizabeth Davis and “Good Morning Rome.”  Elizabeth wakes up Rome with compelling interviews, interesting vignettes, great local news, and a wealth of community information.   “Good Morning Rome” is a great way to start your day. 

Unparalleled is TalkRadio WLAQ’s legendary sports coverage of Northwest Georgia.  Randy Davis, a member of the Rome-Floyd Sports Hall-of-Fame for his sports coverage, heads the broadcast team.  Currently, the team includes Jim Bojo, who has broadcast local sports for over 15 years with WLAQ and WATG, and Matt Davis, Randy’s son, who is carrying on the family tradition of broadcasting sports in Northwest Georgia.  And, of course, special guests from the community bring play-by-play and color commentary to the games on a regular basis.   Any given night, year round, you can tune your dial to 1410AM and hear live play-by-play coverage of local sports.
