ARREST MADE IN WEEKEND SHOOTING
A man who was shot over the weekend in Silver Creek remained in critical condition at Floyd Medical Center yesterday. Steven Thornton suffered gunshot wounds in the incident which took place before 3 am on Sunday morning, according to a release from the Floyd County Police Department. Janice Charlene Thornton, age 58, was arrested in connection with the incident. She has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
