Have you gotten your Christmas tree yet? Before you check out that Christmas tree lot, there are a few things to consider, according to Daniel Carpenter, fire safety educator for the Rome Fire Department. He says in order to ensure that you are getting the freshest tree possible, check things like the needles (which should not easily fall off) and the trunk (which should be sticky).
