COLLEGE BASEBALL WEEKEND UPDATE: SHORTER TAKES ONE OF THREE FROM SOUTHERN POLY, BERRY SPLITS WITH BEREA

In local college baseball from over the weekend, Shorter University’s Hawks were in Marietta to take on Southern Poly. The Hawks dropped both games of Friday’s double header, 10-3 and 8-2.  They salvaged a win in Saturday’s game 3-2.  The Hawks will host Reinhardt in a double header tomorrow at 1 pm at Shorter’s Robert H. Ledbetter Baseball Complex.

Berry’s Vikings split a double header with Berea on Saturday, losing game one 5-3 and winning the night cap 4-2 at Berry’s William R. Bowdoin Field.  The Vikes will return to action tomorrow as host to Bates College in a double header at 2 pm.
