COLLEGE HOOPS BACK IN FULL SWING TONIGHT

Tune in for Shorter University basketball on 95.7 FM The Ridge and www.theridge957.com tonight as the Hawks and Lady Hawks take on Gulf South Conference rival West Florida in Pensacola, Florida.  Tip off is set for 6 pm for the women and 8 pm for the men.

Shorter’s Lady Hawks have a 5-4 overall record so far for the 2012-2013 season.  They are 1-1 in the Gulf South Conference.  The Hawks are 7-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

More Gulf South Conference basketball is on tap for the Hawks and Lady Hawks on Saturday at Valdosta State.  The women’s game will get underway at 2 pm and will be followed by the men’s game at 4 pm.  Both will be broadcast on 95.7 FM The Ridge and www.theridge957.com.

In other college basketball action on tap for tonight, Georgia Highlands College’s Chargers will be in Gainesville, Florida to take on Santa Fe College at 6 pm.  The Chargers will go on to participate in the Pasco Hernando Tournament in New Port Richey, Florida tomorrow and Saturday.

Berry College basketball will take to the airwaves of WLAQ AM 1410 and www.wlaq1410.com tomorrow night as the Vikings and Lady Vikings host Rhodes.  Tip off is set for 6 pm for the women and 8 pm for the men at Berry’s Cage Center.  WLAQ will also have coverage on Sunday as Berry’s basketball teams host Hendrix, with tip off set for 1 pm for the women and 3 pm for the men.
