FLOYD DEMS ANTICIPATE LIVELY ELECTION SEASON
Election season is in full swing. The focus, of course, has mainly been on the Republican party as their supporters go to the polls to determine who will represent the party in the fall against President Barack Obama. Members of both the Republican and Democratic parties have a vested interest in knowing how the Republican presidential candidates stack up against Obama. Wendy Davis, vice president for campaigns and elections for the Floyd County Democratic Party, told WLAQ AM 1410′s Good Morning Rome on Thursday that she anticipates lively debates between Obama and whoever gets the Republican presidential nomination. She also noted that there are far fewer debates planned for the fall than are going on now for Republican candidates.
Super Tuesday is March 6th, which is when Georgia voters will go to the polls.
The Floyd County Democratic Party’s monthly meeting will be held tomorrow morning. For more information, visit www.floyddemocrats.org.
