GHC LADY CHARGERS HEADED FOR CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT, COVERAGE ON WLAQ

Georgia Highlands College’s Lady Chargers will host South Georgia Technical College in opening round action of the GCAA conference tournament this evening.  The game is set to get underway at 6 pm at the gym on GHC’s Floyd County campus and will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410 and www.wlaq1410.com.

In other news from the Lady Chargers, St. Chamond, France native Manon Cherubini has been named to the first team of the all-conference teams.  She has also been named to the all-academic team.  Manon has received offers to play at a number of major four-year institutions from around the US, but has declined to a make a final decision about any of them yet, according to Dana Davis, Director of College Relations for GHC.

Shorter University basketball will return to the airwaves of 95.7 FM The Ridge and www.theridge957.com on Saturday night as the Hawks and Lady Hawks close out the regular season at Alabama-Huntsville.  Tip off is set for 6 pm for the women and 8 pm for the men.
