JONES OUT FOR THE SEASON DUE TO MONDAY NIGHT INJURY

Written by Matt Davis on October 10, 2013. Posted in Sports

Another Atlanta Falcon is out for the remainder of the season.  Head coach Mike Smith confirmed yesterday that wide receiver Julio Jones will miss the rest of the 2013 season due to a foot injury.  Jones is scheduled to undergo surgery on Monday.  He injured his right foot this past Monday night in the Falcons’ 30-28 loss to the New York Jets at the Georgia Dome.

Jones had been examined by team doctors after he was hurt.  A second medical opinion confirmed the Falcons’ fears that his season has come to an end.

The Atlanta Falcons, who are currently 1-4 on the season, are off until Sunday, October 20th when they play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Catch all the action on 95.7 FM The Ridge, Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama’s home for Atlanta Falcons football.
