Written by Matt Davis on September 3, 2014. Posted in News/Weather

It’s not too late to register to participate in the 20th annual Swing for the Kids Golf Classic to benefit the Rome Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth. The tournament will be held this Friday, September 5th at Stonebridge Golf Club. Registration will begin at 8 am and will be accompanied by a continental breakfast. A shotgun start is set for 9 am.

RFCCCY Executive Director Carol Willis urges golfers to participate in the tournament.

Money raised from the tourney will go towards agencies that support the Commission’s mission of serving youth, children and families in the community.

Get more information about the 20th annual Swing for the Kids Golf Classic and register for the tournament by calling the Rome Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth at (706) 232-0703.

Also on the horizon for the RFFFCY – a Table Talk Community Forum to be held at the Rome Civic Center on the evening of September 16th. The topic of discussion will be bullying; those in attendance will explore ways to combat this issue. State Representative Katie Dempsey will serve as moderator for the Forum.
