LOCAL COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUND UP
The Berry College men’s basketball team posted an 85-77 victory in double over time over Huntingdon last night at Berry’s Cage Center. The win allowed the Vikings to improve their record to 4-11 this season, surpassing the team’s win total from last season. Berry’s Vikings and Lady Vikings will hit the road to take on Southern Athletic Association rival Sewanee tomorrow night. The games will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410 and www.wlaq1410.com. Tip off is set for 7 pm for the women and 9 pm for the men.
Georgia Highlands College’s Chargers and Lady Chargers split a pair of games with East Georgia College last night at GHC’s Floyd County campus. The Lady Chargers won their match 70-45, while the Chargers lost theirs 91-64. GHC’s basketball teams will travel to Macon to take on Central Georgia Tech on Saturday.
Tune in for Shorter University basketball tonight on 95.7 FM The Ridge and www.theridge957.com. The Hawks and Lady Hawks will travel to North Alabama for a pair of Gulf South Conference games. The women will play at 7 pm, followed by the men at 9 pm.
