The 29-year-old man that was hit and killed by a train on Wednesday night has been identified. Donald Hicks, Jr. of Legion Drive in Lindale was struck by a Norfolk-Southern train at the tracks along Maple Road where it turns into Park Avenue. He and another person tried to cross the tracks about 9:30 pm Wednesday night. The other person made it across. Hicks was pronounced dead at Floyd Medical Center shortly after the incident.
