Dr.Johnson opened her private practice in 1988, and has helped hundreds of couples, families, adults, and teens discover their strengths, overcome hurt and heartache, identify and pursue their dreams, and take their relationships to higher levels of satisfaction and partnership. As a member of the National Speakers Association, she established a reputation, in the US and abroad, on the subjects of: Stress Management, Coping Skills, Child/Adult ADHD, Grief and Bereavement, Coping with Infertility, Positive Parenting, Midlife Issues, and Anger Management. She has recently become involved in Equine therapy, which benefits children and adults with traumatic brain injuries, PTSD, ADHD, autism, MS, CP, chronic disorders and various medical complications.

Dr. Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Currently, her schedule allows for Office appointments on Fridays, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. She is also available for appointments On-site, and Virtual (phone) sessions. She can also be scheduled for Consulting, Workshops, Retreats, Seminars, Keynotes, and Presentations.

Background
Dr.Johnson earned a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology in 1991, from Georgia State University, where she taught as well.
She earned a Masters Degree in Communication/Broadcasting in 1985 from Georgia State University.
She earned a Bachelors Degree in Communication, and a Bachelors Degree in Speech and Theatre, from Shorter College, in 1980.
She has taught and led seminars at Georgia State University, Berry College, Shorter College, Georgia Highlands College, and at Kennesaw State College.

She is also a popular speaker for Educators, having conducted a ground-breaking study on the subject of burn-out among teachers.

Her work in the corporate and medical sector has included Burnout Prevention seminars for Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, North Fulton Hospital, and Floyd Medical Center.

She facilitated professional development and self-care for the social workers, caregiver, nurses and staff of the Heyman Hospice Center for 3 years, during which time, she began providing her services c/owww.CancerCoach.ws., and has travelled across the SE to present messages of hope and strategic help to those impacted by cancer
