COMING TO A COUCH NEAR YOU – THE ROME INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, VIRTUAL EDITION!

Coming to a couch near you – the 17th edition of the Rome International Film Festival! The 10-day virtual platform for 2020 will be available to film lovers from Thursday, November 12th through Sunday, November 22nd.

Complete information about the festival is posted online at www.riffga.com, indicates Seth Ingram, Executive Director, who is excited to share this virtual experience with the public.

The festival will open with an in-person screening of the Georgia-made film “Electric Jesus”, for which cast member Brian Baumgartner, best known for his portrayal of Kevin in the hit TV series “The Office”, will be in attendance this Thursday night at the Rome City Auditorium. The 7 pm screening will be followed by a Q&A session with cast and crew from the film. Ingram asserts that all necessary precautions will be taken to hold an in-person event in this era of COVID-19.

Space is limited for this Thursday evening’s screening of “Electric Jesus”, for which tickets are $15. That film may also be viewed via the virtual platform, assures Ingram.

Passes for the virtual festival are $25 each. Those who would like to provide an additional boost to RIFF may purchase a patron pass for $150.

Ingram muses that over the five years that he’s been the Executive Director of the Rome International Film Festival, he’s accumulated some great memories and some great friendships.

RIFF has additionally played host to some pretty big stars over the years like the late Burt Reynolds in 2017, Judge Reinhold in 2018, and Max Martini in 2019.
