ROME’S DDA AIMS TO PROVIDE A BOOST TO BUSINESSES WITH HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE ON SATURDAY, CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE ALSO SET FOR THIS WEEKEND IN CAVE SPRING

Rome’s Downtown Development Authority encourages locals to get into that holiday spirit at the annual Downtown Holiday Open House, set for Saturday, November 14th.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be cruising around downtown from 12 pm to 2 pm to provide socially-distant photo opportunities at this event, which is intended to impart a boost to downtown businesses to kick off the holiday season, says Megan Otwell, the Director of Public Relations for the Rome DDA. Vendors will also be on site to sell their holiday wares.

Those vendors and the downtown businesses, like so many others, have faced significant challenges in this era of coronavirus, says Otwell, who encourages the public to help them out by shopping local this holiday season.

Downtown Holiday Open House is made possible in part by the Downtown BID (or Business Improvement District). For more information, look for the event on Facebook. Follow Downtown Rome, GA on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for updates.

Cave Spring will hold their annual Christmas Open House all this weekend; the businesses will welcome visitors with special deals to usher in the 2020 holiday season.
