MODEL HIGH COMMUNITY MOURNS THE DEATH OF A RECENT GRADUATE IN A CAR ACCIDENT OVER THE WEEKEND

The Model High School community is mourning the death of 2020 graduate Bradley Coleman “Cole” Couey, who was killed in a wreck on I-16 on Sunday.
According to a statement released by the Model FaMily from the Floyd County Schools on Monday, “Cole embodied what it means to be a team player as a former three-sport athlete. We appreciate his example, earning him the title of Mr. Model, and the memory of his legacy will forever be impressed upon our hearts. Our sincerest love and prayers go out to his family during this extremely difficult time.”
Cole’s father, Brad, is also a graduate of Model an a member of the Local School Governance Team. His mother, Brandi, is a longtime teacher in the Model area.
