ROME LITTLE THEATRE OPENS REGISTRATION FOR THE ’21 RLT ACADEMY SUMMER WORKSHOP, REVELS IN RETURN TO DESOTO

Registration is currently open for the Rome Little Theatre’s ’21 RLT Acacemy Summer Workshop, which will be held June 28th through July 2nd from 9 am to 2 pm daily.

Chris Davidson, Executive Director, says that capacity will limited more than usual for this year’s workshop. Students who have completed grades 1-12 are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the various aspects of the theatre – and to perform at the end of the week-long session.

To register and to view the Rome Little Theatre’s COVID-19 Safety Guide, visit www.romelittletheatre.com. Early registration tuition is $175; the cost increases to $185 after May 10th. Those interested in the workshop are urged by Davidson to register early as spots typically fill up fast.

The summer stock-style day camp is intended to challenge and inspire both novice and experienced young actors, according to a RLT release.

The RLT held its first in-person production on the historic DeSoto Theatre’s stage in over a year earlier this month. The theatre was filled to its 15 percent capacity each night, indicates Davidson, who adds that she was overwhelmed with emotion upon addressing the audience on Opening Night; it filled her up with a sense of gratitude.

The line up for the RLT’s 2021-2022 season will be announced on May 23rd. Davidson encourages the public to visit the theatre’s social media outlets for updates.
