ATLANTA BRAVES CONTINUE ROAD TRIP WITH STOP IN SEATTLE VERSUS THE MARINERS, ROME BRAVES TO WRAP UP THEIR 2022 REGULAR SEASON IN HICKORY VERSUS CRAWDADS OVER THE WEEKEND

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled off-day Thursday and will continue their current eight-game road trip out west with a three-game interleague series in Seattle, Washington against the Mariners over the weekend. Charlie Morton will serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta in tonight’s opener, while Robbie Ray will head to the mound for Seattle. First pitch is set for 9:40 pm Eastern. WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM will join coverage of that outing in progress from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network upon the conclusion of this week’s edition of the High School Football Scoreboard Show at 11 pm.

The Braves have won their last seven straight games and now hold a record of 86-51 on the 2022 season. They opened this road trip by sweeping a two-game set in Oakland, CA against the Athletics.

Atlanta is a half game back in the National League East from their division-leading New York Mets. Seattle is 77-60 and in second place of the American League West, 11 games behind their division-leading Houston Astros.

The Braves’ current road trip will conclude early next week with three games in San Francisco, CA versus the Giants.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves fell to the Hickory Crawdads 5-4 on Thursday night in game three of a six-game set up in Hickory, NC. Game four is slated for this evening at 7 pm. This series will wrap up on Sunday; it will mark the conclusion of Rome’s 2022 regular season. They are vying for a spot in the playoffs.
