AIRSHOW RACING SERIES TO DEBUT AT 10TH ANNUAL WINGS OVER NORTH GEORGIA AIR SHOW, SLATED FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AT ROME’S RUSSELL REGIONAL AIRPORT

It’s almost time for the 2022 Wings Over North Georgia air show, which will take to the skies over the Russell Regional Airport in Rome this Saturday and Sunday, October 15th and 16th.

The 10th annual air show will feature the debut of the Airshow Racing Series. John Cowman, President of JLC Airshow Management, looks forward to the opportunity to gauge the public’s reaction to this new offering.

Cowman refers to air racing as ‘drag racing in the sky’. If the test run here in Rome is successful, he plans to take the ARS on the road.

The US Air Force’s A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team will also return to Rome for this year’s Wings Over North Georgia air show.
