HAWKS FALL TO CAVS IN FINAL GAME PRIOR TO NBA ALL-STAR BREAK

The Atlanta Hawks lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 127-105 in NBA action on Wednesday evening at Cleveland, which resulted in a 2-0 lead for the Cavs in the four game season series among the teams. This also allowed Cleveland to end a 12-game losing skid on their home court; prior to it, their last victory at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse was over Atlanta on December 23rd. The Hawks have now lost two straight games.

Tristan Thompson led the charge for the Cavs with 27 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Larry Nance Jr. and Collin Sexton each had 23 points.

Trae Young led the Hawks in scoring with 27 points, in addition to 12 assists. John Collins had 23 points.

The Hawks have now fallen to 15-41 on the season. The Cavs are 14-40, still the worst record in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. It’s now time for the NBA All-Star break! Atlanta will return to action on Thursday, February 20th down in Miami versus the Heat.
