CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES HAVE INCREASED IN GEORGIA, AS HAVE FATALITIES

The Georgia Department of Public Health has reported that there were 1,097 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across this state as of 7 pm on Tuesday night. Twelve of those cases were in Floyd County. There have now been a total of 38 fatalities statewide due to coronavirus. Counties with the highest number of confirmed cases were Fulton (191), DeKalb (107), Dougherty (101), Cobb (90), and Bartow (76).

The DPH updates the COVID-19 daily status report twice daily, at noon and again at 7 pm, in order to provide the most current numbers available. It may be viewed online at www.dph.georgia.gov.

Darlington School announced on Tuesday that it will extend the closure of its campus until at least Monday, April 13th. The school will continue to facilitate distance learning.
