ROMAN RUMBLE SET FOR THIS SATURDAY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HARBOR HOUSE

The 33rd annual Roman Rumble will take place this Saturday, September 14th. It will raise funds for Harbor House, The Northwest Georgia Child Advocacy Center.  This year’s event will once again feature a 5K as well as a new “Ulti-MUTT Health Walk”.

Joe Costolnick, Executive Director of Harbor House, invites all locals to take advantage of the new dog park recently installed at Ridgeferry.

Registration is available online at www.active.com at a cost of $25 per runner or walker.  Group rates are also available at a cost of $20 per participant.  All dogs may participate for free!

Packet pickup is scheduled for this Friday at GoGo at the Shoebox, located at 1018 Martha Berry Boulevard.

The 5K portion of the Roman Rumble will start at 8 am on Saturday; walkers will take off at 8:02 am.  Race day registration will begin at 7:30 am.

Proceeds from the annual event will be used by Harbor House to defray their operating costs.  The organization is in place to serve as an advocate for local children who have been victims of abuse.

Along with the run and walk, the Roman Rumble will feature vendors, food trucks, inflatables and a dog costume contest.  The 5K is an official qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race.
