JUNIOR SERVICE LEAGUE OF ROME HITS THE GROUND RUNNING WITH LOCAL SERVICE PROJECTS

Another year of service to the community is underway for the Junior Service League of Rome.

Catherine Jackson, JSL President, enthuses that league members have already hit the ground running with initiatives such as League4Learning. Through the program, some 2,500 students from around Rome and Floyd County received school supplies for the 2019-2020 school year.

Funds were raised for the school supplies through the 2019 Follies held back in February, as well as the annual Poinsettia Sale.

Jackson added that JSL fundraising efforts have evolved over the years.  But the mission has always been the same – to serve the community.

The Junior Service League of Rome also supports the Chieftains Museum as well as numerous initiatives intended to improve lives of women and children in Rome and Floyd County. A list of organizations to be supported during the 2019-2020 league year may be found online at www.jslofrome.com.
