CALLING ALL COOKS!  ENTER TO COMPETE IN THE 24TH ANNUAL TROUT UNLIMITED CHILI COOK OFF!

Attention, all cooks!  Do you think you make a great pot of chili?  Assemble your team and enter to compete in the 24th annual Trout Unlimited Chili Cook Off!  The event is slated for Saturday, October 19th at Ridgeferry Park.  Gates will open at 10:30 am.

The Chili Cook Off is presented each year by the Coosa Valley chapter #519 of Trout Unlimited.  Event chairman Ronnie Cooper attests that competitors have a shot at $1,500.  That ought to be enough to offset the cost to produce five gallons of chili, which is required of each competing team.

Both Judges Choice and Peoples Choice awards will be at stake.  Judges have the power to award cash prizes, adds Cooper.  There will also be an award for Best Cook Site.

The cost is to compete in this year’s Chili Cook Off is $50 per cook site.  For more information or to register, visit coosavalley.tu.org or contact Cooper via phone at (706) 767-0776.

Cooper urges the public to make plans to attend the 2019 Chili Cook Off. The cost of admission is $5; kids five and under will be admitted for free!

This is Coosa Valley Trout Unlimited’s major annual fundraiser.  Cooper says the chapter is always in search of new members.  The chapter meets on every third Thursday of the month at the Rome-Floyd ECO River Education Center at Ridgeferry Park.
