FLOYD COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT NOW OFFERING THE FLU VACCINE

The Floyd County Health Department, located at 16 East 12th Street in Rome, now offers flu vaccines on a walk-in basis, according to a media release from the Georgia Department of Public Health, Northwest Health District.  Public health experts indicate that now is a good time for people to consider getting vaccinated for the upcoming season.

Everyone six months of age and older are encouraged to get the flu vaccine, particularly those at high risk for serious complication from influenza.

Acceptable payment methods include cash, credit or debit card, all Medicaid plans, Medicare, Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, as well as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia.  Get pricing information by calling the health department at (706) 295-6123.
