Dr. Vondell Ringer has accepted the post of Support Services Specialist with the Floyd County Schools, according to an FCS media release. She currently serves as Principal of Coosa Middle School and will assume her new position at the central office on Monday, October 14th. Joseph Pethel will become the Interim Principal of CMS upon Ringer’s departure. He currently serves as the assistant principal at Armuchee Elementary.
On this past Tuesday afternoon, FCS Superintendent Dr. Jeff Wilson met with CMS’ Local School Governance Team and faculty to announce Dr. Ringer’s new role and introduce Mr. Pethel as interim principal.
