TRACK FALL COLOR VIA STATE PARKS’ LEAF WATCH 2019

Fall officially arrived a week ago, even though it doesn’t feel like it!  There is no doubt that locals are eagerly anticipating a splash of fall color.  Stay up-to-date on the best places to find fall color via the Leaf Watch travel planner that is now offered by Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites.  Leaf Watch 2019 is available online at www.gastateparks.org.  It may also be used to learn about autumn events, search for accommodations and more, enthuses Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator.

Hatcher adds that peak color usually occurs in our area around middle to late October, though it may be a little later this year (maybe even early to middle of November).

Visitors are encouraged to share their best photos of fall color at parks around the state on Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites’ Facebook and Instagram pages; be sure to use the hashtag #GaLeafWatch.  Your photos might even be featured on Leaf Watch, says Hatcher.
