The Floyd County Democratic Party will host a Meet and Greet during their regular monthly meeting on Thursday with candidates who seek a post on the Rome City Commission in the November 5th election. The gathering is slated for 7 pm at the Community Room of the NWGA Housing Authority, which is located at 560 North Division Street. Each of the candidates for the available seats in Wards 1 and 3 of the city commission have been invited. The event is open to the public, and refreshments will be served, according to a release by the Floyd County Dems.
