It is Opening Day of Fall’s Finest Festival, the 71st annual Coosa Valley Fair! JP Cooper, Vice President of the Coosa Valley Fair Association, urges locals to take advantage of the Carload Special that will be offered for this Opening Day from 5 pm until 6 pm; carloads will be admitted for $10 (except for vans and trucks). Normally, admission to the fair is $5 for each person age six and older and free for children under age six. Parking is always free!
The Cheerleading Exhibition and Spirit Competition is among activities that are on tap for this evening; it will begin at 7 pm. Cooper enthuses that this is a great opportunity for local students to show their school spirit.
