COOSA VALLEY FAIR CONTINUES THROUGH SATURDAY IN ROME

Fall’s Finest Festival, the 71st annual Coosa Valley Fair, officially opened on Tuesday.  It will continue until this Saturday at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Rome.

Michael Elliott, President of the Coosa Valley Fair Association, enthuses that even amid the current heat wave, it’s a great time to head to the fair!

Gates open to the public this evening at 5 pm.  Armbands will be available at a cost of $25 for unlimited rides until the fair closes tonight at 10 pm.

The Coosa Valley Fair is presented annually by the Exchange Club of Rome.  Member Barbara Elliott (Mike’s wife) asserts that it is a local tradition which raises money for good causes.

Fair proceeds will benefit the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for the prevention of child abuse, along with other non-profits.

Attendees will pay for regular admission at the fair this evening.  The cost is $5 per person age six and over.  Children under age six will be admitted free of charge.  Parking is free.
