The Floyd County Schools will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System to improve campus safety for their students and faculty beginning on Monday, October 14th, according to an FCS media release. This will serve as a high-tech replacement for an old-fashioned visitor sign-in sheet. A new ID card scanning system will offer instant screening of visitors, contractors, and volunteers for sex offender status and custom alerts like custody orders. The software is used by more than 22,000 schools across the US.
