FIDDLIN’ FEST SET FOR SATURDAY IN DOWNTOWN ROME

The 4th annual Fiddlin’ Fest Between the Rivers will take place this Saturday from 12 pm until 8 pm in downtown Rome.

Megan Treglown, the Director of Public Relations for the Rome Downtown Development Authority, enthuses that the event will feature a vendor village, live bluegrass music, the Armuchee Ruritan Club’s Cars on Broad car show, pony rides (for $5 a ride), hay rides and more.

Street closures will take place in the 100, 200, 300 and 400 blocks of Broad Street from 7 am until 10 pm, while 2nd Avenue will remain open.

Treglown invites all Romans to come downtown for family fun amid perfect fall weather.

Fiddlin’ Fest is free to the public, thanks to the financial backing of BID (or the downtown Business Improvement District), as well as the event sponsors River City Bank and the Hampton Inn and Suites.  Treglown urges those who will be in attendance to shop, dine and support downtown businesses.
