SCRAP TIRE AMNESTY DAY SET FOR THIS SATURDAY

The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center and Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful will host a Scrap Tire Amnesty Day for Rome and Floyd County residents on Saturday, October 19th from 9 am until 3 pm at State Mutual Stadium.

There will be a limit of eight tires and/or two tractor tires accepted from each vehicle.  Commercial tires will not be accepted.

Tires will be hauled off and recycled, thanks to a grant secured from the EPD by KRFB Director Emma Wells.

Further details about Scrap Tire Amnesty Day are available on KRFB’s newly  updated website at www.keepromefloydbeautiful.org.  Wells enthuses that the site is a user-friendly way to learn about what her organization does (and why they do it).

You can also get more information about this Saturday’s event by looking for KRFB and/or the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center on Facebook.
