AAA:  GEORGIA’S GAS PRICES DECLINED ANOTHER TWO CENTS THIS PAST WEEK

Georgia’s gas prices declined another two cents in the past week, according to AAA, The Auto Club Group.  Motorists statewide are now paying an average of $2.43 per gallon of regular unleaded, two cents less than the same time last week, 16 cents less than last month and 32 cents less than last year.

Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA, states, “Peak refinery maintenance season has caused volatility across the country.”

Fluctuations are expected at the pump are likely through the end of the month due to ongoing maintenance and tighter gasoline supply, adds Waiters.

Sunday’s national average of $2.64 per gallon of regular unleaded was a cent less than the previous week, two cents less than last month and 21 cents less than at the same time last year.
