CHIAHA HARVEST FAIR SET FOR THIS WEEKEND

Get ready for a cider-sippin’, toe-tappin’, fun-for-everyone arts festival!  The 55th annual Chiaha Harvest Fair is scheduled for this weekend.  Hours are set for 10 am until 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday at Ridgeferry Park.

Monica Sheppard, Co-Chair of Chiaha, says that the event will feature about 160 vendors this year (including food booths). Chiaha takes place annually to both showcase and support the arts in this community.

It may seem a little soon to be thinking about Christmas, but Chiaha provides the perfect opportunity to get a jump start on your holiday shopping, enthuses

Sheppard.

In addition to handcrafted works of art from local and regional artists, Chiaha will feature live musical performances on both Saturday and Sunday.

And if it should happen to rain – just put your rain boots on, grab an umbrella and come warm up with some hot apple cider, urges Sheppard.

Admission to Chiaha is $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, and $1 for kids under 12.  Sheppard states that a coupon is available online and through Facebook that ensures free admission for one child with a paying adult.  For more information, visit www.chiaha.org.
