Have you cast your ballot yet in the November 5th municipal election? Early voting continues through Friday, November 1st every week day from 8 am to 5 pm at the Floyd County Health Department, 16 East 12th Street. Voters may also cast ballots in advance at the Floyd County Administration Building next Monday through Friday (during those same hours). Weekend voting will be offered this Saturday from 9 am until 4 pm and Sunday from 1 pm until 5 pm at the Rome Civic Center. Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 am until 7 pm.
Six posts on the Rome City Commission will be filled in this election. Voters will also determine the fate of a referendum that, if approved, would pave the way for local restaurants to serve alcohol at 11 am (as opposed to the current 12:30 pm) on Sundays.
