CHIAHA HARVEST FAIR, PEACH STATE MARCHING FESTIVAL ON TAP FOR THIS WEEKEND

If you don’t mind dodging a few rain drops over the weekend, head on out to Ridgeferry Park for the 55th annual Chiaha Harvest Fair.  This event is set for 10 am until 5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.  It will feature arts and crafts, live music, food vendors and, of course, hot apple cider.

Monica Sheppard, event co-chair, enthuses that Chiaha is a tradition that has spanned generations in Rome and Floyd County.

Admission to Chiaha is $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, and $1 for kids under 12.  Sheppard states that a coupon is available online and through Facebook that ensures free admission for one child with a paying adult.  For more information, visit www.chiaha.org.

The 46th annual Peach State Marching Festival is scheduled for this Saturday at Barron Stadium in Rome.  It will once again be hosted by the Rome Band Boosters Association.
