BRAVES’ CULBERSON LOOKS FORWARD TO HIS INDUCTION INTO ROME-FLOYD SPORTS HALL OF FAME WITH HIS DAD

Charlie Culberson of the Atlanta Braves is looking forward to being inducted into the Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame in February 2020.  He is even more excited that he’ll go into the Hall with his Dad.

Charlie and Charles Culberson are among five people that have been selected for the Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2020.  The announcement was made earlier this month.

The Braves’ utility man says that his Dad has done much for baseball around this community and is very deserving of the honor.

Charles enthuses that it is ‘an honor’ to be inducted into the Hall with Charlie as a father-son combo. The elder Culberson indicates that he and his son have

received much support from existing Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Famers.

Charlie is recovering quite nicely from facial fractures that he sustained when he was hit by a ball in Washington DC back in mid-September.  The injuries had him sidelined for the rest of the season and the postseason.  He says that come February, he will be ready to take the field at Spring Training.

Charlie and Charles Culberson are not the only father and son that have been tapped for induction into the Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame next year. The Class of 2020 also includes Charles and Toryan Smith, as well as Jaleel Riaz.
