NATIONALS FORCE A GAME SEVEN IN ’19 WORLD SERIES

The Washington Nationals forced a Game Seven in the ’19 World Series with a 7-2 win over the Houston Astros in Game Six on Tuesday night in Houston, which resulted in a 3-3 split in the series.

Adam Eaton and Juan Soto each hit solo home runs to give the Nationals the lead in the top of the fifth inning.  Anthony Rendon had five RBIs, including a two-run homer in the seventh.  Alex Bregman clubbed a solo home run for the Astros.

Stephen Strasburg was credited as the winning pitcher for Washington, while Justin Verlander took the loss for Houston.

Washington manager Dave Martinez became the first manager ejected from a World Series game since Bobby Cox in 1996.

Game Seven of the Fall Classic is slated for tonight in Houston.  First pitch is set for 8:08 pm at Minute Maid Park.  The game will be televised on FOX.
