TOYS FOR TOTS DONATION BOXES NOW BEING DISTRIBUTED

The holidays are drawing nearer, and that means it is time for Toys for Tots!  Boxes are now being distributed in Rome and Floyd County for the public to donate new, unwrapped toys to this year’s Toys for Tots campaign, according to a media release by the Exchange Club of Rome, which serves as the local  coordinator of the program.  Floyd Medical Center’s EMS is providing their assistance with the distribution of those boxes.

Floyd County PAWS (Public Animal Welfare Services) is one of the locations at which locals may donate to Toys for Tots.  Jeff Mitchell, Director, says that adoption fees will be waived for those who donate.

Toys for Tots is an initiative of the United States Marine Corps Reserve.  The drive provides toys to over 2,000 local children at Christmas.

Businesses that wish to be added to the list of box locations are encouraged to reach out to Linda Hatcher at (706) 506-4635.
