HAWKS OPEN ROAD TRIP WITH LOSS TO TRAILBLAZERS

The Atlanta Hawks opened a five-game road trip out west on Sunday with a loss to the Portland Trailblazers 124-113 in overtime at Portland, Oregon.  It marked the third straight loss for the Hawks.

Trae Young led all players in scoring with 35 points for Atlanta.  He also had 10 rebounds.

Kent Bazemore had two 3-pointers in the overtime period for the Trailblazers versus his former team.  Damian Lillard was Portland’s top scorer with a total of 30 points.

The Hawks now have fallen to 3-6 on the 2019-2020 regular season.  They’ll be in Denver, Colorado to take on the Nuggets on Tuesday night; tip off is set for 9 pm Eastern.
