CITY MANAGER SAMMY RICH LOOKS FORWARD TO SEEING NEW FACES ON THE ROME CITY COMMISSION NEXT YEAR

Rome’s City Manager Sammy Rich is looking forward to the future, with last week’s municipal election in the rearview mirror.

Rich congratulates all of those who won posts in Wards One and Three of the Rome City Commission and anticipates an exciting 2020 for this community.  He adds that he will miss Evie McNiece, who opted not to run for re-election, as well as Milton Slack and Bill Irmscher, who lost their bids for re-election last week.

City officials will have an opportunity to chart a course for next year during a planning retreat to be held in early ’20, says Rich.
