FALCONS FALL TO BUCS IN ATLANTA

The Atlanta Falcons lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35-22 on Sunday in an NFC South battle at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which snapped a brief two-game winning streak for the Falcons.

Jameis Winston completed 18 of 28 passes for 313 yards; it marked his sixth straight 300-yard passing game. He had a pair of touchdown passes to Chris Godwin and one TD pass to Vita Vea (the first of Vea’s career). Godwin had seven catches for a career best 184 yards to help lift the Bucs to victory.

Qadree Ollison notched a one yard TD run to give the Falcons a 10-7 lead in the first quarter. Calvin Ridley caught a 21-yard pass from Matt Schaub for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was a tough afternoon for Matt Ryan, who was sacked a season-high six times and had no touchdowns.

The Falcons have fallen to 3-8 on the 2019 season. They will return to action this Thursday evening as hosts to the New Orleans Saints. The Thanksgiving outing is scheduled to kick off at 8:20 pm.
