WINTER ART MARKET, SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS BOTH SET FOR THE FIRST FULL WEEKEND IN DECEMBER

Mark your calendars for December 7th and 8th. Those are the dates of the ’19 Winter Art Market at the Rome Civic Center. Event hours are 10 am to 4 pm on both that Saturday and Sunday. Parking and admission are free.

Kristi Kent, the Director of Communications for the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism, asserts that the Winter Art Market showcases artists, crafters and growers from across the state. This is one of two Art Markets held each year at the Civic Center; the other takes place in the Spring.

The 2019 Small Town Christmas in the Country will be held in Cave Spring during the same weekend. Hours are 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, December 7th and 12 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, December 8th at Rolater Park. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop from handmade goodies to include home canned goods, Christmas décor and gift baskets. Over 150 vendors will be stationed at the park and inside Hearn Academy.

Kent muses that both events provide opportunities to give unique, handmade gifts to your loved ones this holiday season.

Holiday shoppers should also take note that Rome’s Downtown Development Authority will host Rome for the Holidays on Thursday, December 12th. The businesses in the downtown area will stay open late that evening so that their customers can wrap up that holiday shopping.
