The Georgia Highlands College women’s basketball team picked up an 85-77 victory over East Georgia State College on Wednesday night at GHC’s Floyd County campus.  Sasha Shishkina led the scoring for the Lady Chargers with 21 points, reports a GHC sports release.  The Lady Chargers improved to 5-5 overall and 3-1 in the GCAA with this win.  They will travel down to Macon for an outing against Central Georgia Technical College on Friday.

The GHC Chargers will host Preeminence Academy tonight.  Tip off is slated for 7 pm.

Georgia Tech’s men’s basketball team beat Nebraska 73-56 in a Big Ten/ACC Challenge game on Wednesday evening at Georgia Tech.  The Yellow Jackets

will host ACC rival Syracuse this Saturday at noon.
