US HOUSE VOTES TO IMPEACH PRESIDENT TRUMP

The US House of Representatives voted on Wednesday evening to impeach President Donald Trump.  The majority of House members voted in favor of two articles of impeachment, including the abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.  Votes were cast along party lines.  This matter will now go before the US Senate, which will likely hold a trial in January.

Representative Tom Graves, a Republican from Ranger, GA, was opposed to both articles of impeachment. Graves commented, “This partisan process has only pushed Congress, and our country, further down a path of division.  I am disappointed in this unnecessary outcome.”
